The given line graph compares Japan, the United Kingdom, and the rest of Europe in terms of the unemployment rates from 1993 to 2007.

Overall, Japan in whereas the other regions . What also from the chart is that European countries for almost the entire period surveyed except the year 1993 when the UK .

At the start of the period, approximately 11% of the population in the UK was unemployed, the highest figure among all the countries. This was closely followed by Europe, with its figure around 9%, nearly that of Japan, at just 2%.

Thereafter, the unemployment rate of the UK 5% in 2001 and for the following five years before to 6% in 2007. Opposite changes can be seen in the data for Japan, which to 6% in 2003 and then to 4% at the end of the period. Meanwhile, the percentage of people who were unemployed in Europe of nearly 12% in 1997, after which it to 7% over the next 10 years. Despite this fall, the unemployment rate in European countries was still the highest.
