The diagram . Overall, this process involves multiple steps, including collection, transportation, processing materials, shaping and selling final products.

To begin with, used aluminum cans are collected in recycling bins before being transported to where they are cleaned thoroughly to remove any impurities, such as dirt, grease, and other contaminants. Next, the cleaned cans are sorted in order to ensure that the chosen cans are suitable for recycling and to separate them from other waste materials. Once sorted, the cans are into smaller pieces and then in a special machine to reduce their size and make them easier to handle.

After that, are melted down at a high temperature, which turns them into . The liquid aluminum is then poured into to shape it into . These thin sheets can be used to manufacture beverage cans, three-quarters of which can be recycled after use.
