The given line graph illustrates the amount of energy used by the American since 1980 and its until 2030.

Overall, it can be seen that is projected to increase during the period. In addition, while the highest figure for energy use is forecasted to be seen in petrol and oil category, nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower will not be much in 2030.

Regarding petrol and oil, 35 units of these resources were used in 1980, and the number is projected to rise to roughly half in 2030. Despite in use between 1985 and 1955, the consumption of petrol and oil will still compared to the remaining types of energy in the next 50 years.

The use of coal and natural gas in 1980 were 15 and 20 quadrillions units, respectively. However, in 2030, there will be which shows the forecasted use of 30 quadrillions units of coal, whereas that of natural gas will to one-fourth quadrillions.

Nuclear, solar/wind and hydropower was the least exploited types of energy during the timeframe. At the beginning of the period, only 4 quadrillions of those aforementioned energies were used. However, 50 years later, an increase in consumption of the three energy sources is predicted, but the figure will still be less than 10 quadrillions.
