It can immediately be seen that the US gives more than any other region in the world, and there has been in the total amount of money given to developing countries.

In absolute terms, the US has consistently given to developing countries; in fact, in all the years listed, their contribution . The US had also more than doubled their amount in the four year period, from 9.8 billion in 2006 to 20.3 billion in 2010. The level of money given by the EU, meanwhile, has only during that period, and whereas it donated a third of what the US did in 2006, its money sent to developing countries was only in 2010. In terms of the total amount of money donated, this figure has generally increased over the five years, except for the period between 2008 and 2009.
