You will see that there is an example that has been done for you.
...:
On this occasion only, the conversation relating to this will be played first.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Hello, Theatre Royal Plymouth.
MR. WHITTON:
Oh, hello, I'd like to make a booking please.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Yes, what is it you want to see?
MR. WHITTON:
The imposter.
...:
The man wants to see the imposter, so imposter has been written in the space.
...:
You should answer the questions as you listen because you will not hear the recording a second time.
...:
Listen carefully and answer questions 1 to 4.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Hello, Theatre Royal Plymouth.
MR. WHITTON:
Oh, hello, I'd like to make a booking please.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Yes, what is it you want to see?
MR. WHITTON:
The imposter.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
And which day did you want to come?
MR. WHITTON:
Friday the 25th.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Just a moment and I'll check availability on the computer.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Oh, sorry, we're fully booked for that performance.
MR. WHITTON:
What about the following day then?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
The 26th?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Yes, that's okay.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
We've got two performances on that day.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
One at 3.30 and one at 7.00. Which would you prefer?
MR. WHITTON:
Oh, the later one please.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
How many people?
MR. WHITTON:
Well, there are four of us.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Are there any concessions?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Any children?
MR. WHITTON:
I'm not sure.
MR. WHITTON:
My daughters are 15 and 12.
MR. WHITTON:
Do they get concessions?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Only the 12-year-old, I'm afraid.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
So that's one child and three adults.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Any idea where you'd like to sit?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Stalls or circle?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Tickets for the stalls are a bit more expensive.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
£12 for adults and £8.50 for children. The circle costs £10.50 and £6.50.
MR. WHITTON:
Do you get a good view from the circle?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Oh yes, and in fact we've got some seats left at the front if you'd like those.
MR. WHITTON:
Right, we'll go for those then.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Right, that's seats A21 to 24 then.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
They're very good seats.
MR. WHITTON:
That sounds fine.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
So let's see, that comes to £38 altogether for the tickets.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
How do you want to collect them?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Shall I put them in the post?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
They'd be sent today by first class mail and there'd be an additional charge of £1 to cover postage and administration.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Or do you want to get them from the box office yourself?
MR. WHITTON:
Oh yes, could you send them please?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
No problem.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
That'll be £39 altogether.
...:
Before you hear the rest of the conversation, you have some time to look at questions 5 to 10 on page 2.
...:
Now listen and answer questions 5 to 10.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:

ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
What kind of card is it?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
OK, and the number?
MR. WHITTON:
It's 3290 5876 4401 2899.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
OK, and the name on the card please?
MR. WHITTON:

MR. WHITTON:
Yes, it's 42 South Street.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
OK, is that Plymouth?
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
And the postcode?
MR. WHITTON:

ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
That's fine then.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
The ticket should be with you tomorrow.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Is there anything else I can do for you?
MR. WHITTON:
Yes, I was wondering if I could get regular information about what's on.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Certainly, I can just add your name to our mailing list.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Would that be OK?
MR. WHITTON:
That would be very good.
MR. WHITTON:
Yes, please.
MR. WHITTON:
Oh, and there is something else, sorry.
MR. WHITTON:
One of our group is hard of hearing and I've heard that you can supply special headphones.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
That's right.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
As long as you tell us in advance, we can always do that.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
I'll book those for you now and you can just collect them from the box office before the show.
MR. WHITTON:
Thanks very much for your help.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
No problem.
ROYAL PLYMOUTH:
Thank you for calling.

That is the end of section one.
