On the one hand, parental influence can offer certain important advantages for children’s future development. In particular, parents often possess greater life experience and a clearer understanding of job stability, financial security, and societal expectations than adolescents do. Consequently, they may encourage their children to , allowing them to avoid unrealistic career choices and . Furthermore, close parental supervision can protect young people from harmful influences and . For example, some teenagers are easily affected by irresponsible peers or misleading social media trends, which may lead them to neglect their studies or . By carefully monitoring significant academic and personal choices, parents can reduce such risks and help children develop greater discipline and responsibility.

However, excessive parental control is largely detrimental for several reasons, one of which is that it can . Specifically, when young people are forced into careers that do not match their interests or abilities, they often for their work. As a result, many experience stress, poor performance, or long-term dissatisfaction in their professional lives.
