Receptionist:
Good afternoon, Westlake Gym.
Receptionist:
How may I help you?
Tim:
I'd like to ask about joining a yoga class at your gym, please.
Receptionist:
Let me just get the details up on my computer.
Receptionist:
Right, I have the information in front of me.
Receptionist:
What would you like to know?
Tim:
Well, first of all, could you tell me what time the class takes place?
Tim:
I want to know if I can come after work.
Receptionist:
All the yoga classes start at 7.30 in the evening and finish at 9 o'clock.
Receptionist:
Hopefully, you should be able to make it after you leave work.
Tim:
Thanks, that's great.
Tim:
And are the classes on every day of the week?
Receptionist:
Yes, every day at the same time, apart from Tuesday, when we use the studio for a dance class at that time.
Receptionist:
Also, sometimes Sunday's class starts a little late, but not often.
Tim:
Well, that suits my schedule perfectly.
Tim:
I must say, I've never done yoga before.
Tim:
Is it going to be a problem joining the class with no experience?
Receptionist:
No, that won't be a problem.
Receptionist:
It's a beginner's class, so everyone else is new to the activity as well.
Receptionist:
You don't have to be nervous.
Tim:
And how much do I need to pay for the yoga classes?
Receptionist:
Well, the whole course is £180 for 12 weeks, so that works out to £15 for each class.
Tim:
Can I pay separately for the classes, or do I need to pay for the whole course?
Receptionist:
We prefer customers to sign up for the course, but if you like, you could pay for just the first class to see if you like it.
Tim:
That all sounds fine.
Tim:
Could I register for the first class now?
Receptionist:
Yes, of course.
Receptionist:
I'll just input your details.
Receptionist:
Could you tell me your name, please?
Tim:
Yes, it's Tim Cavendish.
Receptionist:
And how do you spell your surname?
Tim:
It's C-A-V-E-N-D-I-S-H.
Receptionist:
Great, thank you.
Receptionist:
And what's your address, Mr Cavendish?
Tim:
I live on Slade Road, number 43.
Tim:
Do you need a postcode?
Receptionist:
No, it's alright.
Receptionist:
The street name should be enough.
Receptionist:
And could I have your telephone number, please?
Tim:
Sure, it's 0188 639 423.
Receptionist:
That's all the information we need.
Receptionist:
I've signed you up for the first class.
Tim:
Could I ask you exactly where the yoga studio is?
Tim:
I've never been there before.
Receptionist:
Yes, of course.
Receptionist:
The studio is on the same street as the rest of the gym, just next to the fitness centre.
Tim:
That shouldn't be too difficult to find.
Receptionist:
No, none of our customers have got lost so far.
Tim:
And is there anything special I need to bring for the class?
Receptionist:
You don't need any special equipment, but you should come wearing some comfortable clothes.
Receptionist:
Also, most of the class members choose not to wear any shoes of any kind.
Tim:
Yes, I thought as much.
Tim:
OK, I'll remember to pack a change of clothes in my bag then.
Tim:
Erm, I'm probably going to want to have a wash after the class.
Tim:
Are there showers nearby?
Receptionist:
Yes, we have showers in all of the changing rooms and we provide a towel for our customers at no extra cost.
Receptionist:
There is also a vending machine where you can buy soap and shampoo.
Tim:
That's good to know.
Tim:
Thank you for all the information.
Receptionist:
Before you go...
Receptionist:
We have an instructor from China who has come to our gym to teach a self-defence class.
Receptionist:
The class this Saturday is a trial for new customers.
Tim:
I suppose it might be useful to learn how to defend myself, but unfortunately I think I'm busy on Saturday.
Receptionist:
Alright, never mind.
Tim:
Thank you for your help.
Receptionist:
No problem.
